A Collect for Missions

O God, who hast made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on the face of the whole earth, and didst send thy blessed Son to preach peace to those who are far off and to those who are nigh; Grant that all men everywhere may seek after thee and find thee.  Pour out thy Spirit upon all flesh, bring the nations into thy fold, and hasten the coming of thy kingdom; through the same thy Son Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen.

1.  Pray that the Anglican Diocese of Northern Argentina would experience a revival to the end that they would have ample missionaries, pastors, and financial support.  Pray for the spiritual revival of the diocese through the teaching of godly men devoted to the spread of Christ's Kingdom in the Anglican tradition.

2.  Pray for the Anglican Church in indigenous areas; that the Christians there would be bright lights amidst spiritual darkness, and that the Church in those areas would be victorious over the powers of darkness present in the native shamanism.

3.  Pray for the training of the next generation of pastors, especially in indigenous areas.  Pray that they would be instructed well to shepherd Christ's flock and build up the Church.  Pray that the resources and people needed for the training would be provided.

4.  Pray for the leaders of the diocese, especially for Abp. Greg Venables.  Pray that all leaders would stay in line with the will of Christ in growing the Church for the glory of God.

5.  Pray that the rapid spread of the false teaching of the cults in Latin America would cease.  Pray that God would undo the work of the Mormons, JW's, and other heretics, and that they would repent.  Pray that those who have been led astray by heretical teachings would receive the truths of God and come into Christ's Church.

6.  Pray for the work being done with college students in the province of Tucuman.  Pray especially for the interdenominational Ixtus center created to reach out to the student community.  Pray that the center would be very affective and that it would be able to sustain itself financially in the years to come.  Pray that the missionaries in Tucuman who are preapring to retire would be replaced by godly people who will continue to grow the Church for the glory of God.

7.  Pray that the Church in N. America would have compassion for their brethren in S. America and consequently commit to help the Church through missions, financial support and prayer.

8.  Pray for the individuals planning to take part in short-term ministry in Argentina in 2006.  Pray that they will follow through on their commitments, and that their ministry would be a blessing to the Church.

9.  Pray for this ministry, that its financial needs would be met and that God would be pleased by the work being done.  Pray for the affectiveness of this ministry in getting churches in N. America involved in the the life of the Church in S. America.

A Collect for Missionaries

O Lord Jesus Christ, the Desire of all nations, who didst come down from heaven to seek and to save the lost; Grant thy blessing, we beseech thee, upon thy missionary servants who are carrying the light of thy Gospel to the dark places of the earth.  Preserve them from every danger to which they may be exposed; from perils by land and sea, from persecution and pestilence, from discouragement in their labours, and from the devices of the adversary.  May they see thy work prospering in their hands; and do thou hasten the time, O gracious Saviour, when the multitude of the heathen shall be gathered into thy fold, and when all in every land who neglect thy salvation shall be converted unto thee.  And to thee, Lord Jesus, be the praise; unto whom, with the Father and the Holy Spirit, be all honour and glory, world without end.  Amen.

A Collect for the Church

O Gracious Father, we humbly beseech thee for thy holy Catholic Church; that thou wouldest be pleased to fill it with all truth, in all peace.  Where it is corrupt, purify it, where it is in error, direct it; where in any thing it is amiss, reform it.  Where it is right, establish it; where it is in want, provide for it; where it is divided , reunite it; for the sake of him who died and rose again, and ever liveth to make intercession for us, Jesus Christ, thy Son, our Lord.  Amen.
